Verizon Cell Phone Family Plans

In a previous article we talked a bit about the cell phone plans offered by the U.S. giant, when it comes to mobile telephony, Verizon. In this article we are going to describe in detail the Family plans offered by them.

First of all, the main feature of the family plans is that you get to share minutes, text messages and data with a max number of 5 close friends or family members. All the Family plans include unlimited calling to all the Verizon Wireless customers, unlimited night and weekend minutes, and one more thing, no domestic long distance charges. From the Family plans you can choose out of four basic plans: Talk, Talk&Text, Canada and 65 Plus, the last one being designed for senior citizens.

The Talk plan is a plan that includes only shared minutes, for 70$ being able to split 700 minutes between the lines, and for 120$ unlimited minutes between lines. If you pay 30$ extra, you can also send the same amount of text messages. For seniors, the 65 Plus plan gives you 450 minutes shared between 2 lines, for a monthly rate of 60$. Except for the 65 Plus plan, all the others can include the Friends & Family feature, which allows you to make a list of 10 friends and family members which you can call unlimited. All the plans also give you the possibility to access the web if you have a data add-on feature and a phone that can support web navigation. The 65 Plus plan can only be split between 2 lines, which comes as a default for all plans, but for the other plans, you can choose for up to 5 lines, each extra line for a cost of 10 extra dollars. For every plan, other features include basic voice mail, call forwarding, call waiting, caller ID and caller ID blocking. No answer or busy transfer are other useful features that are included in the Family plans.
