A few years ago, LG and Prada gathered to conceive an impressive cellular phone combining high-technology and beautiful designs, called LG KE850 Prada. The also called Prada Cell Phone was very similar to the look of iPhone, featuring a two-megapixel camera, a music player , and a document viewer. When this phone was launched it caused a great controversy, as it was released before the iPhone with suggestions that Apple has been using the design of Prada for its new model.

The Prada phone featured a media player supporting various audio and video file types, and a built-in document viewer. The two megapixel camera provided lash and video capture capabilities. It received several awards, the most important coming from the International Forum Design and another one for visual appeal from the CNET Asia Readers Choice Awards. Unfortunately, the memory card port location situated behind the battery was considered inconvenient, also lacking a 3G support.

What was remarkable about this phone was its amazingly sophisticated and stylish design, meant to turn heads. It features a 3-inch display and a touch screen very usable interface. Still, sometimes users consider it works a bit too difficult as few of the the external buttons are a little hard to press and the microSD card slot are is not located in a very happy position.The worse part was that it did not have a 3G support, quite sad for such an expensive phone.

The new Prada cell features a 3.0 inch, 240×400 pixels, and a 256k color touch screen. An accelerometer sensor is available, automatically adjusting portrait or landscape views. The flash user interface is equipped with a slide out full QWERTY keyboard, while the a 5.0 megapixel camera/camcorder provides the possibility to take clear photos and capture high quality videos with its Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens, auto focus feature, flash and additional VGA video-call camera (with a special network dependent feature to verify compatibility). This new model enables you to print directly from the phone using Bluetooth or PictBridge.

You also have at your disposal a photo-video editor, allowing you to add effects, color accents, to text, morph and re-size images, or to create slide shows. For videos you have the possibility to trim, merge video clips and images, to text , to add voice or to watch your memories on a TV using TV out connection. This way you can share beautiful parts of your life with relatives and friends via text, picture or video messaging and stay connected.

You will able to visit websites in full HTML-Wap 2.0 /xHTML/HTML connection via a Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 802 11b/g) using your finger tip. This new version of the Prada Cell Phone is a Bluetooth A2DP version, a 2.1 EDR enabled phone you can use with an almost unlimited amount of Bluetooth devices.

It also features an integrated micro SD/ microSDHC memory expansion slot supporting microSD/ microSDHC cards with a capacity up to 8GB. LG Prada 2 provides up to 3 hours of continuous talk and up to 400 hours of stand-by time.
