Recently launched, Samsung S5620 Monte is a very attractive and enigmatic device offering among others touch screen navigation, appealing to all categories of users.

The new device from Samsung has a very sophisticated and mature design, featuring a rounded back and relatively flat front, measuring 10u x53x12 mm for a 92 grams weight. The device has a plastic body with large and easy to use buttons.

Samsung S5620 Monte  comes with a 3 inch TFT touchscreen , offering a 240×400 resolution  while displaying 256 million colors. It also features an accelerometer sensor for automatic rotation of the screen . Still, one of the most important element is the missing  full QWERTY keyboard. The headset uses a 2.0 plus version of Touch Wiz Interface.

The Monte is equipped with a 3.15 megapixel camera with fixed focus, operating at a 2048×1536 megapixels resolution. Unfortunately, the camera lacks flash and lens protection but the users can get smile detection and geo tagging. The device also offers a video recorder with QVGA video at 15 frames per second.

Another important opportunity offered by Monte is through the music player, featuring a very useful interface allowing the user to organize the songs by album, title, genre, artist. The multimedia player is able to support several audio formats, such as MP3, WAV, eAAC+, 3GP, XviD, DivX, MP4, and AVI video formats. Also, a stereo FM radio with RDS and with a variety of games. It also features a GPS function providing satellite  navigation with a A-GPS support. Other application offered by the Monte are: the English Dictionary, Calendar, alarm, organizer, countdown timer, world clock, to-do-list, PDF viewer, document viewer, and others.

In order to keep the users connected wherever they travel, the new device from Samsung incorporates several connectivity methods. In the areas where there is a little or no 3G coverage, the class 10 version of the GPRS and EDGE are being helped by the included Bluetooth technology and USB. In case of closeness to a wireless Internet router, Wi-Fi connections are available at speeds up to 3.6 Mbps.

The Monte has dedicated widgets for social networking such as My Space, Twitter, Facebook and Bebo, with the possibility to upload photos to Flickr, Picassa, YouTube  and Photo Bucket. The device can store all the personal photos, texts, emails, and files with its 200 MB of internal memory  aided by the included microSD slot  increasing the memory to up to 16 GB.

Overall, the Samsung S5620 Monte can be very appealing to potential users through its portable, trendy and light weight look and the 3 inch capacitive touch screen together with the user friendly interface. It`s an aesthetic and functional phone with a wide range of applications and useful functions. Still, it might count the lack of hardware keypad and the touch screen interface that can be sluggish at times.
