Samsung F480 is one of the most popular phones being sold around 5 million copies. Besides the fact that it has many features, looks and quite probably that makes it highly sought.

Samsung F480 is one of the most compact phones on the market, with dimensions: 95.9 * 55 * 11.5 mm being the smallest phone screen 2.8 “. The design is very well made, metal accents giving it a luxurious look like shiny plastic sides or the front panel (when not covered by the traces).

The front is occupied mostly by the screen of 2.8 “above it and below the secondary VGA hardware buttons and the back camera we find only 5MPx. On the left we find the volume keys and microSD card slot and USB port on the right side and room key. Above find the only key that is used to lock Hold the phone.

Unfortunately, the chapter suffers display visibility when the sun is strong. Flash touch-sensitive interface is very well done, the colors are vivid and widgets available are a great way to customize the home-screen. Unfortunately Sony does not support themes, just change the wallpaper site.

Photo Gallery is an integral part of the file manager, and access pictures is as easy as clicking a folder of pictures. Files in the folder can be seen List or Thumbnail. Thumbnail mode presents photos in a 3 * 3 grid with the selected photo name written down. Audio Player has been improved and optimized for touch. Besides the usual functions such as generation of playlists, sorting by various criteria it offers a widget on the main screen that can be controlled easily, like the widget for FM radio. The audio quality is good, F480 has no major problems in this chapter nor amazes us. Video player disappoints because it does not support many video formats and must convert each video so you can see.



The 5MPx camera to take pictures at a maximum resolution of 2560 * 1920 and has an LED flash that leaves much to be desired. Camera interface has been improved in terms of functionality but also the way it looks. Other features of the camera would be: Wide dynamic range, face detection and anti-shake. The quality of pictures is very good but the pictures have a slight reddish hue but can be easily corrected by “white balance”. Unfortunately the camera is not at all spectacular: QVGA at 30 fps.
