Before getting to the point of this article, in which we’ll talk about how to revive a dead Sony Ericsson 810 model, we’ll take a look at the phone itself. Besides excellent qualities when it comes to audio playback, the phone also has some other interesting features that make it a great phone, like the 2 megapixel camera. The phone has 20 megabytes of internal memory which is not merely enough for mp3 files, but it’s certainly enough for applications that can be installed on such a phone.

If someday you realize that the phone is dead, or in other words it doesn’t respond to any command and the screen is black, here are the things you should try. First of all, if the phone wasn’t used for a longer period of time, the battery could be discharged completely and to recharge it it’s not enough to just charge it like you would normally do. If it’s completely discharged, you need to charge it for at least half an hour before the charging icon will appear on the screen. Because the death of the phone is probably caused by the battery, we’ll focus on that for now. So another thing you should do is make sure the battery connectors are clean, as these might get dirty and in that case the battery will not provide the necessary power. Also make sure the connectors are undamaged, because if they are, the phone needs to be taken to a repair shop. The final thing that could be the cause of this problem related to the battery is the death of the battery itself. If the battery is dead or old, it might need to be replaced with a new one. Before buying a battery though, make sure the issue isn’t a result of a defective charger. If you have the required tools you can measure the output voltages of the charger to make sure they are as the label indicates. One last thing worth trying, if nothing else works is a firmware update, using the Sony Ericsson Update Service.

Camo Phone Cover For Samsung Eternity
Published by Kovacs Eduard Andrei, on July 6th, 2011, in the categories: Cell phone cases, Uncategorized
Samsung Eternity is a great looking touchscreen phone, with all sorts of great features. The phone, released in 2009 was among the first touchscreen phones that didn’t cost a fortune. Initially built for AT&T, later it was seen at other carriers such as T-Mobile but with a slightly different look. The Eternity doesn’t have a fancy operating system so the applications are limited to java apps, but it’s more than enough for someone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune on a mobile phone. If a person is happy with the phone’s features, it doesn’t mean that they’ll be happy with the way the phone looks. That is the reason why in this article we’ll take a look at ways to change the aspect of this phone using a cover. To be more precise, we’re going to be on the side of army buffs who like their phones military style with a camouflage look.

If we take a quick look online, we can find a whole bunch of camouflage covers that can be installed on the Samsung Eternity. Most of them are found on websites that finally lead to Amazon.com, the well known online store. These camouflage covers cost about 9$ without the shipping costs which are about an extra 6$. If we take a look at the technical details of these covers, we realize that they are actually custom built stickers that can be applied on the front and on the back of the phone. The cover is made in a way that gives you access to all the phone’s hardware buttons, like the camera button. These covers come in more than one color. You can choose between pink camo, mossy oak and regular jungle camouflage. Camouflage covers, apart from the fact they give the phone a great look, thanks to the irregular design, they mask potential scratches. Of course the cover also protects the phone in some way, but if it does get scratched, the scratches won’t be so visible.

If you are interested in such a cover, take a look on Amazon.com, epinions.com or bizrate.com. These are the websites where you can find the most covers for the Eternity. Because they are fairly cheap and easy to install, you can apply the cover yourself if you have a steady hand, not being necessary to consult a specialist.
Samsung A867 Eternity Cell Phone

If in another article we’ve talked about how to make the Samsung Eternity look more different, in this article we’ll take a look at the phone. We’ll observe the phone’s performance, looks and what people who own it have to say about it.

The Samsung Eternity, also called Samsung A867, was released in January 2009, three months after it was announced. The phone is considered by some to be lighter than the iPhone, so from this point of view, the phone is slim and light. The main component is a 3.2 inch TFT resistive touchscreen that responds fairly well to the user’s input. When it comes to performance, the phone is not considered out of the ordinary, but because it’s not actually a smartphone, it doesn’t need much. It does have 200 megabytes of internal memory which can be upgraded using an SD memory card. If speaking of connectivity, the phone has EDGE, GPRS and Bluetooth, but it lacks the all important WI-FI component which would make it a much better phone.
The Eternity has one camera that can also act as a video camera. You can use it to take 3 megapixel pictures at a resolution of 2000×1500. You can also use the camera to make video calls if your carrier gives you the necessary data plans. Applications installed are pretty cool, among them being the AT&T Mobile Navigator, AT&T Tv and an MP4 player. Battery life is decent as it allows you to talk for up to 5 hours and in stand-by the phone stays on for about 250 hours.

Users are mostly content with the phone, a few of them being unhappy with the fact that the installation of new applications can be done mostly by directly downloading the apps from the internet to the mobile phone. Other people don’t like the phone because of the lack of WI-FI and another disappointment is the fact that the camera doesn’t have a flash or a focus function. As a bottom line I would state that the phone is good if you know you can take care of it and not drop it too often, otherwise the phone is sensitive as it easily gets scratched and the back cover comes off without difficulty when dropped. Also, don't expect much from the phone apart from the stylish looks. Make sure you study the phone before buying it to make sure you won't be later disappointed.
Cell Phone Lesson Plan For Teachers

In this article we’ll do something out of the ordinary. We’ll observe the way in which mobile phones and wireless technology are taking over our lives in all the fields of activity possible. Because of their great importance to modern society, cell phones are described and talked about in various situations. As the title mentions, authors who write for the educational system have integrated an English lesson into the curriculum.

The lesson is specially designed to help students express themselves and to give them the chance to practice speaking. Another advantage of this lesson is the fact that after learning the lesson, the student will have a better understanding of the terms “mobile communication” and “mobile phone”. First of all, the student will be asked to talk, using their own words, about the use of mobile phones in generally, having the opportunity to describe the way in which they use their mobile phones.
Another part of the lesson will give the students the chance to create and perform telephone conversations, decipher text messages and write their own. The lesson also contains a worksheet that will allow students to give their opinion on mobile phone related topics and compare the answers to the other students. An interesting exercise within this lesson is the one where students have a number of sentences in the form of cutouts. These cutouts put together build a phone conversation, but due to the fact that they’re not in the correct order, it will be the students task to arrange them so the conversation will be correct.

A situation where imagination is put to the test is the exercise where student have to imagine conversations on certain topics like canceling a reservation, calling to say they’re going to be late due to a train strike or phoning a friend who’s late. Texting exercises are also an important part of the lesson as in many cases they contain all sorts of encoded messages that are sometimes hard to understand. For instance, the word “great” is written “GR8”, the expression “keep in touch” is “KIT” and “bye bye for now” is “BBFN”. “C U l8r” actually means “See you later”, but if you don’t know these codes, some messages, especially those received from teenagers could be unreadable.
So, even if you are not a teacher, the English lesson about cell phones could be of a great use to you, as you not only learn the basic stuff, but also some things that might be from another planet at first sight.
