Nokia 7230
Nokia 7230 is part of that category of handsets targeting emerging national markets, meaning that it was especially designed a cheap communication device. This item is a slider and is one of the few handsets that have been destined to run the Nokia Life Tools application but this, of course depends on the location. Another important aspect about this phone is the fact that it features 3G technology in spite of being a mid-budget handset.
So if you`re looking for a relatively cheap device and do not need fancy features , such as a good camera, HSDPA connectivity, a good music playback, or an exquisite design, then Nokia 7230 might be the perfect solution for you. The phone also benefits from worldwide localization due to the quad-band compatibility. The good news for the American market is that there is also an American version available, making this item compatible with UMTS 850/1900/2100 networks.

The new Nokia slider was launched on the market in February 2010 and potential customers can buy it for USD 130 without any kind of subscription. They can also choose between the two available variants: Graphite and Hot Pink.<
The design of Nokia 7230 does not indicate something else but an ordinary slider, but featuring a nice mix of materials. It has a metallic part surrounding it, which adds more security to the device while the stylish plastic on the front makes the device more appealing. The battery cover has a circle pattern improving the user`s grip over this phone, even though at a first look the device seems not to give reasons to worry about the fingertips too much.
It also features a 2.4 inch display which could be tagged as medium-sized, also being protected against scratches. A D-pad can be found below the screen, surrounded by a metallic stripe together with four standard keys. The two soft keys might seem a bit too hard to push, but the D-pad is working quite efficiently.

On the right side of the device it can be found a dedicated camera button while the other parts have been placed on the top: a 3.5 mm jack part, a micro USB part, and also a small charging part. It also features a 3.2 megapixel camera that has been placed on the back side of the Nokia item lacking any flash capabilities. Users can also enjoy a small loud speaker. The measures of the phone are 98x48x14.8mm and weights about 100 g with the battery, coordinates putting this Nokia device in a middle class size category.

The sliding mechanism is quite solid, sometimes working like a charm and making the handling of the phone quite smooth. Anyway, Nokia 7230 doesn’t really comes out from the row, but being a middle budget device you could say it`s a nice one. It can also last longer than other mobile phone devices as it has a metallic side.
The phone is also embedding a 2.42 inch TFT display supporting 256k colors and a 240×320 resolution. The size of the screen is not bothering the user too much but in case it would want to take full advantage of the Internet browsing possibilities, it might seem a bit too small. The quality of the image displayed, the colors or the contrasts is a standard one for a Nokia device, meaning that ranges from good to very good.

If this cell phone works as good as it looks then I am definitely going to get one for myself. I always thought Nokia cell phones were the most attractive ones especially in terms of design and battery has always been their strong point. My first phone was a Nokia 5110 and while it was as huge and heavy as a brick, it managed to stay one week on a full charge.
