Free At&t Cell Phones

So let’s continue our journey through the free AT & T cell phones, and for today we’ll present 2 new models. And we’ll begin with the AT & T BlackBerry Curve 8520 – Black. This is a really good smartphone that has a full QWERTY keyboard and can also support multitasking activities. You can easily connect to the internet with this phone thanks to its Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g connectivity. With the AT & T BlackBerry Curve 8520 you balance work and play when on the move. It has a good screen of 2.44 inch in diagonal and 65.000 colors, that will show all your stuff in a good quality. It has a highly responsive trackpad and also dedicated media keys which are located on top of the phone. With this smartphone you can always stay productive and with the DataViz’s Documents to Go Suite Standard Edition you can view Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint files.





Like any other phone it has features like voice recorder, personal organizer, Calendar,  task list, memo pad and also a  calculator so that you can easily manage your time, find out the date and do any math calculations you want. And it can even synchronize with Microsoft Outlook for Contacts, Calendar and other tasks. These are just some of the basic applications that come with the BlackBerry phone, but you can download and install hundreds of more others from the internet. With this phone you can always keep up with all the news online, and also keep in touch with your friends on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Instant Messaging (AOL, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo and Google Talk). With the BlackBerry Wallet you can get the latest web updates and shop for all sorts of stuff. Some other features that it has to offer are the Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino and Novell GroupWise (BlackBerry Enterprise Server). You can manage up to 10 email accounts ( POP 3 or IMAP 4) and view Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint, Corel WordPerfect, Adobe PDFs and HTML email attachments.

And of course you can also take good pictures with this phone thanks to the  2.0 megapixel camera with 5 x digital zoom and camcorder mode. After saving pictures and videos as memories you can also share them with your friends and family by sending multimedia messages and emails. It has a music player with external media keys. The formats that it can support are: AAC – LC / AAC + / eAAC + / AMR – NB / MP3 / WMA 9 (.wma / .asf) digital audio and MPEG4 / H.263 / H.264 / WMV3 digital video formats. It also has a 3.5 mm headphones jack and Bluetooth connectivity, so you can connect the phone to Bluetooth stereo speakers, and enjoy your favorite music at a good quality. And you can store all sorts of files (music, pictures, videos, documents etc) because it has micro SD / micro SDHC cards support. Thanks to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and USB connectivity you can easily manage all your files and copy them on a computer, and from a computer to the phone.  To keep you well organized it has an address book with multiple numbers per entry, ringtone profiles and picture called ID. It also features voice activated dialing, a speakerphone and Bluetooth v 2.0 + EDR. And finally it measures 4.29 ” (H) x 2.36 ” (W) x 0.54 ” (D) and provides 4.5 hours of talking time.

So let’s make another short review of another free AT & T cell phone, and now we’ll choose the AT&T Nokia 2720. The previous model was a really complex smartphone, but this one is just a simple mobile phone with basic features. It is a consumer friendly solution, which is also much cheaper. In this case they are both free, but of course they both come with AT & T subscriptions, and probably the one from the BlackBerry phone is much more expensive. The Nokia 2720 is made for those who want to have just the basic features, and just a few extras. It has a phone book with up to 500 entries, a picture called ID feature, integrated speakerphone and also Bluetooth connectivity. You can also browse the internet with this phone, but its connectivity is not as complex as the one on the BlackBerry. It has a smaller display screen of 1.8 inch, with a resolution of 128 x 160 and 65000 colors. This one has a camera too, one of 1.3 megapixels with 4 x digital zoom, Automatic white balance, Scene modes and more.

Of course you can also send text messages (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS)  and it can store up to 250 text messages. And you can even send audio files thanks to the Nokia Xpress audio messaging. You can also listen to your favorite FM radio stations and also play music and videos with its player that that supports popular digital audio and video formats.

It also comes with a few installed applications, and it allows you to install some more. It measures 3.66 ” (H) x 1.81 ” (W) x 0.78 ” (D) and weighs 3.18 oz. it is powered by the Nokia BL – 4CT 860 mAh battery which offers you 3 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. Enjoy it!
