Nokia 5800 Xpress Music is the first full touchscreen cell phone from Nokia, and it’s a serious competitor with the iPhone from Apple.

The main features would be:

-4 band GSM, 2-band 3G
-TFT 3.2 "full touchscreen with resolution 360 * 640
-Accelerometer
-Handwriting recognition
-Proximity sensor
-Internal memory of 81 MB, expandable via a microSD card up to 16GB
-128 SDRAM, ARM 11 369 MHz processor
-Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, miniUSB, Wi-Fi
-a 3.2 MPX camera with autofocus and flash (VGA video at 30 fps), secondary camera for 3G.
-GPS with A-GPS (Nokia Maps 2.0 Touch preinstalled)
-Player: MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC + / MPEG4/WMV/3gp
-FM Radio
-TV Out
-3.5mm standard audio jack
-Document viewer

The main disadvantage is its lack of a more powerful camera.
Nokia 5800 Xpress Music comes with a display of 3.2 "which occupies almost the entire front of the phone. Even if it is slightly lower than the iPhone has a much better resolution, plus filming and play 30 seconds at high quality.

At the top we find the micro USB slot, and audio jack on the side buttons for music and you can find the volume keys there as well, on the back a camera which has a 3.2 mega pixel.
Touch Screen interface is very easy to use and responds well to achieve both with stylus and finger, the screen is ideal for movies but also great for surfing the Internet,Nokia  5800 for direct access to YouTube and Facebook. Internet connection is made either by 3G or Wi-Fi high speed.
The audio player is excellent, comes with a graphic equalizer and supports all types of digital audio files. It has small internal memory that is offset by the presence of a micro SD card up to 16GB (8GB included in the package).Nokia  5800 also has the greatest speaker ever made on a cell phone. In addition it has a audio player and FM radio.

The most interesting function is that handwriting recognition, support and a virtual QWERTY keyboard and a stylus, all for entering a text.
Nokia 5800 runs on the Symbian S60V5 latest version , which is an "open platform" that allows developers to add new applications to phones with this platform.
The 3MPx camera is acceptable but its far from the new standard 8MPx. The pictures have a maximum resolution of 2048x1536 pixels and the camera has auto focus, flash and Carl Zeiss optics.

The phone is available at a price of 280 euros.
For Nokia’s first touchscreen device that is very successful and taking into account that it is cheaper than the iPhone it seems to have a fairly large impact on the market.
