BlackBerry 8900 Pearl is not as well equipped as its big brother Storm upgrade, compared to predecessors as an evolution rather than a beginning of evolution. We find a Wi-Fi and GPS, a much better resolution of the screen and an interface more user-friendly.

8900 measures 109 * 60 * 13.5 mm and weighs 110 g making it a very compact phone despite a QWERTY keyboard and landscape display.
QWERTY keyboard has 4 rows, with keys equal to each other except the key "space" and with enough space between keys that make the keyboard easy to use and much less typing errors.
Above the keyboard we find a 2.4 " screen which has a pixel density that is very large and very well calibrated in terms of brightness and contrast. On the left we find a button that can be set to any function, and on the right find the volume keys, 3.5 mm jack and the USB. Above we find 2 keys to lock a phone and one to move back and a 3.2 MPX camera and speakerphone.

OSv4.6 interface has not undergone too many changes but moves and looks better than previous versions.
Audio player is not great, but not useless, that word would be decent. It allows sorting by artist, album or genre, but unfortunately does not have an equalizer. Instead it compensates audio quality, its excellent and this site jack 3.5 mm audio means you can make almost any pair of headphones instead of the standard offered by BlackBerry.
It seems to finally have managed to make a good video player, watching movies on the Curve 8900 is a pleasant experience. Landscape screen and high pixel density in the sense that helping a lot.

Now we come to the worst, namely a 3.2 MPX camera with autofocus and LED flash that is a total disappointment. Both in terms of quality pictures that is far below the standard rooms 3MPx and its interface is very difficult to use and which occupies much of the screen, which normally would have to see to be photographed. The Fortunately gallery of images is very good compared with camera interface. About the video recording only needs to say that filming in 3GP format at 240 * 180 resolution and with what I said is all about how useless camera. But after all is a business phone and say that a good camera is not so important.

Another disappointment is its lack 3G's which require the use of the Internet via EDGE is not an option really fast. However it is saved by this Wi-Fi's, but that only in the presence of a hot-spot. Yet they made the 8900 one of the best web browsers available.
Finally 8900 is not a bad phone but leaves much to be desired in comparison with standard business phone number of 1 sites, namely the Nokia E71.
