Cell phones and celebrity style
Celebrities lifestyle has always been of great interest for common people. Fashion, hobbies and personal interests were very closely studied and transformed into new trends, and as of course, celebrities belong to the colorful life their personal choices can be varied and unpredictable. Daily updates about celebrities lives are available with the rich offer of glamour magazines, and as they are always spotted talking on their cell phones and published in these glossy magazines up in the market, readers can always be informed about what`s new with cell phones and celebrity style.
From this very large group of personalities, a few of them stand apart from these fashioned and stylish VIPs, though they still belong to the same glamour field. This is the case of famous people like Lindsay Lohan or Nicole Richie. The most admired cellular phone is endorsed by these two famous party girls, Danger`s T-Mobile Sidekick II. Another reason for which the same Sidekick II was pretty much in the hype was because Paris Hilton`s cell has been hacked and the content released onto the Internet. Another well-received handset was Blackberry. Considered to be the appanage of executive class, and especially used by the most influential people from the White House, heading with the U.S. president, Barrack Obama. Motorola RAZR V3 was quite popular in Hollywood circle due to the fact that it has been distributed as goodies with the occasion of Academy Awards. In the same time, Jennifer Lopez contributed to the celebrity and popularity of a Nokia model, S 7280, with her video for ‘Get right’.
Another celebrity known to ‘promote’ cell phones is Britney Spears. When she entered the reahab, she was spotted to carry a single device or gadget, her cell phone. It is also known the fact that she has changed mobile phones very often, or maybe more often than her hair color. Recently, she has exchanged approximatively five cellular phones, namely: LGenV, BlackBerry 8700C, Sidekick LX, and the recently launched u740. iPhone has also been initially quite a trend among celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, or Paris Hilton. Paparazzi have frequently photographed Lindsay Lohan with her own iPhone, then switching back to her usual BlackBerry. Her gesture has been explained as natural, considering Blackberry`s superior messaging services and the fact that Apple does not really subscribe to the gifting idea. Of course, when it comes to cell phones and celebrity style we must not ignore the tie-ups between mobile phone producers and gifting companies with the purpose of handling out these as gratis products. Such examples come from companies like Palm Treo and Nokia, as PalmTreos and Nokia handsets have been distributed on many occasions at important events, such as World Music Awards or Venice Film Festival.
Maria Sharapova is another celebrity that has been ‘advertising’ phones. She was photographed using a very hot`n girlie pink colored MOTORAZR phone, and this model instantly entered the trend. As a result, this new Motorola model was given out for free to celebrities to create waves around this headset and the associated brand, as mobile phone manufacturers know that endorsements done by celebrities can be more than beneficial for them and their products. These are the main reasons that turned this into a habit for cell phones also, not just for clothes or cosmetics. Even though it might be true that celebrities can have and get any cell phone they wish, they all have preferences. Also true, any particular inclination towards certain brands, models or other liking must be exhibited.
