iPhone custom accessories

Published by cellphones, on September 3rd, 2010, in the categories: iPhone

The iPhone is probably the phone that has made most headlines in recent years. While it is now one of the most famous mobiles of its generation, it is sold almos with no accessories. A boon for builders, which multiply the original innovations. Here is a selection of customed accessories that change the very conventional shells, cases, screen protectors or self supporting.

Here's an accessory that is not that much of one . To prevent intrusions into the jack of your iPhone, you can always try the handyman method, with tape or modeling clay. But a good solution to this problem is to provide a cover for the headphone jack of the second and third generations of the Apple phone. Cheap, and particularly practical. As a bonus, it also serves as an extractor slot for the SIM card.

If only one is only a fan of the Apple brand, or he has several iPhones , Griffin dual recharging dock seems to be very useful. In the entrance, on the coffee table or on the bedside table, it will blend easily throughout the house. In addition, it is compatible with all types of iPhone and with most of the iPod lineup.

The main defect of the iPhone? Autonomy. Many users (not those of iPhone 4) have to recharge their phones more than once in the day. As a result, shippers are often complementary. There are a multitude of batteries to attach to Apple's smartphone , but they do not have a longer life . This is not the case of external battery Novodio, which said to be increasing the autonomy of the iPhone by 4, or nearly 38 hours of video playback.

Some videos worth sharing, at all times and all places. This is precisely the goal of Audio Video Connection Kit Dexim composed of a connector and an AV cable to connect easily your iPhone to the television or other screen output. The cherry on the cake, it also works for the PSP, iPod and all Archos products.

The Zeiss Cinemizer is no doubt an unusual accessory. For those who are never separated from their phone and want to enjoy their photos or videos anywhere , the manufacturer has designed a pair of goggles simulating a screen of 115 cm to 2 meters away. Easily adjustable for those who already wear glasses, it is possible to plug their own headphones into the device. It connects very easily and has a battery life of 4 hours, ideal for a plane trip .

Many offer USB chargers for the iphone . The Novodio Duo iPoxer does not differ greatly from its competitors, except that it offers two USB ports instead of one. Foldable, simple and inexpensive, it will avoid carrying many chargers when traveling for example .

We come more and more across athletes who use their iPhone and its various features (GPS, iPod, etc..) not to be bored . The Neoprene Armband DualFit and beyond its ease of use, conceals a detail that will appeal to joggers and other athletes of all stripes: a pocket to store keys.

Storm Cell Phone

Published by cellphones, on August 17th, 2010, in the categories: iPhone

The BlackBerry Storm was expected by professionals, but also by the general public that users are becoming more numerous. Indeed, the BlackBerry from RIM the company that was once used primarily by professionals. Today, more than 19 million people have trusted this brand, which 40% of this number are users of the public. RIM had to present a device that can compete with those of other companies like Apple, Palm, Samsung and others.

Compared the revolutionary Apple iPhone in which the touch screen is certainly not new. But one of the iPhone is distinguished by its unique graphics and navigation. The BlackBerry Storm announced by RIM seems entirely appropriate to compete. For the first images and the features presented by RIM, you would think that its new toy is nothing but a copy of the Apple. However, this is not. Let's compare and try to remain objective (I already know the opinion of some people who have Apple's apple tattooed on their heart!). Let us speak first of the touch screen.

It is a dimension of 3.25 inches, while that of the iPhone is 3.5 inches. During his presentation, RIM has made a speech that reminded one of Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Indeed, the company has touted the merits of his similarly touchscreen calling it revolutionary "first screen" clickable "in the world, its touch screen reacts like a physical keyboard and also allows for intuitive and efficient navigation Touch controls, or multitouch gestures. Thus, the keyboard features the BlackBerry for years is now part of the screen as the iPhone and other competing products. Unlike the latter, however, that the BlackBerry Storm sinks to finger pressure and emits a sound (click) when released. This function gives the sensation of truly supporting a key to a real keyboard. This is a characteristic that is sure to stand out from other devices of its kind.

The BlackBerry Storm offers the most features found in the competition, and especially the iPhone. We also find it as an accelerometer that switches the display in portrait or landscape when the user rotates the device. It is also equipped with a digital camera of 3.2 megapixels, which is significantly more than the 2 megapixel iPhone.  The product offers a RIM wireless 3G/3G and Bluetooth. A GPS is also integrated. One can regret the lack of Wi-Fi, which I think is an important function for a device of this type who wants a real handheld. It is almost needless to mention that the BlackBerry Storm has a new media player common to smartphones, and a Web browser and support for Office documents, which makes it be considered pretty interesting among Storm cell phones.

The capacity, when compared to the iPhone, is not really an asset. The camera comes with an internal memory of 1GB is much less than the iPhone, the first model comes with 8 GB. For cons, the BlackBerry Storm offers an expansion slot for microSD memory card and SDHD found in our cameras and music players. This feature absent from all Apple products is interesting given the significant decline in prices of memory cards.

iPhone Pharmacy App

Published by cellphones, on July 5th, 2010, in the categories: iPhone

If you were up late at night with a tooth ache, head ache or if your child had a runny nose, you  would probably not know what to do or where to go.

All questions are fielded by a pharmacist. But imagine yourself pulling out your Apple iPhone App to find not only answers to some common questions regarding medical issues, but also to communicate with pharmacists. Additional relevant telephone numbers, locations and hours of business where you can find solutions to your problem are available.

The pharmacy App is one of the most expected and logical extensions of  what is called pharmaceutical  marketing due to its relevance to consumers who are these days mobile enabled and more consumptive. Unlike other applications, the pharmacy App offers solutions to immediate needs as a point of engagement. As it is so engaged, the App engenders a continuous good will as it has been proven to be the right solution at the right time. Of course, in the given situation only few people couldn`t speak positively and extensively about such an App, saving the users in the nick of the time. Such types of applications have the potential of the most effective word of mouth referral campaigns ever.

From the point of view of immediacy, there could not be a better way to send crucial information to a community than through an Apps alert function. This important immediate information can range from product recalls to what is going on sale, if we think that today`s pharmacies have multiple revenue generators additionally to drug dispensation. This pharmacy App becomes a channel for marketing communication or drug bands coming directly to consumers. This is very much like we see on TV, but the App channel has the potential of being more focused in its reach and far more direct in terms of action.

Other advantage of the pharmacy App is the ability to develop and leverage a community of users and to connect to social networks, sharing not only the information but also the pharmacy brand. This could be a real competitive advantage to regional pharmacies through securing and maintaining a regional or neighborhood focus.

This application is essentially an amazing extension of those helpful neighborhood pharmacies and pharmacists, as we all go to the pharmacist looking for information due to many reasons. They are convenient, available, and around the corner.

This is especially true if we think that going to a doctor could mean delays in appointments, waiting for hours in the waiting room and most probably receiving the same advice you could have obtained from a pharmacist, as the first person to go for a health advice.  These are just few of the reasons that justify this App starting off the conversation with the pharmacist in the hand or the pocket of the user truly makes sense.

Motorola MOTOROKR Z6m

Maybe Motorola should not have to give up names or model RIZR ROKR favor. Unlike the first ROKR, Z6m supports Windows Media 11 and not iTunes. The phone has a display friendly, with a menu structure completely different from the rest of the Motorola phones. The operating system chosen is the new Motorola OS based on Linux. The terminal looks picture of the RIZR, but is rather a slider than a clamshell, so attractive.

Sony Ericsson K810
Series Cyber Shot camera phone needs a serious lesson from the Walkman series. To compare the K810 with the W880i Walkman series. K810 is massive and lacks the style of the W880i and Cyber-shot interface is not as friendly as Walkman. In other news Xenon flash and auto focus function are fine, but 3.2 mega pixels is too small a number compared to competing mobile facilities. But considering the lens included, we could forgive the lack of several million pixels for a clearer picture.

Nokia E61i
Nokia E61i is a natural evolution of the Nokia E61. Improved a little in each chapter: the keys are rubber, offering greater ease of typing and the terminal is thinner. The model could not be seen "in action" due to bad connections to the network offered in CTIA, so we keep a frenzy for any E62i.

Nokia E90

Nokia E90 is big, very big. The reality is even greater than in pictures and is basically a nice version of the LG Env. There is certainly a terminal that you can pocket, much less to throw in a briefcase or purse. E90, when a phone is closed is ridiculously high, a parody of the candy bar type phone. Open the terminal and you will see large keys (obviously) and a bright and clear screen. It was still a top 10 finish and we can only wonder when we see these beautiful (or less wonderful) terminals on our market already full of models of Sony Ericsson Walkman.

LG VX9400

LG VX9400 - A phone surprisingly easy and slim, without VX9400 mobile TV in your pockets. V Cast Mobile TV phone supporting streaming quality at higher resolutions, making a big step forward in mobile TV. The model has a 1.3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth, memory extensions and supports EV-DO.

iPhone
iPhone - from Apple mystery phone-fill the top 3 in February, but will have to wait 6 months until the arrival of the phone.

Equipped with 8GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, support for Google Maps and touch-screen iPhone will be available for $ 599 or 499 if you opt for the 4GB version.
