Presenting the HTC Hero

Published by cellphones, on August 20th, 2010, in the categories: HTC

The integration of telephony features on the PDA and the birth of the Apple iPhone has sharply boosted the market for mobile touch. Now, most major manufacturers offer a full range of controllable devices using the index (the ancestral pens seem to be endangered). What was a little market , has grown into a massive one in which consumers sometimes struggle to find its footing. This is why we suggest you make an overview of mobile lights that make up the supply of your culture! >Currently, the market share of touch remains lower than that of conventional mobile phones (about 25% of sales per hour or we write these lines).

However, sensory interfaces tend to gradually replace the phones with keypads. Indeed, we find that the market share of conventional mobile is in decline. If you have decided to take the course, or if you want to replace your old touch, we suggest you get acquainted with the best models of the moment. At first glance one might think that a single unit is able to hold its own in the game The reality is quite different: Remember that the final choice of a Smartphone is not static, it always depends on profile of the end user!

Handling features and the presentation of the operating system
Contrary to appearances, the HTC Hero is indeed based on Android, the mobile system signed Google. The family resemblance to other "Google phones" is not obvious and because, HTC is the first manufacturer to have added a custom graphical overlay. This new interface is called HTC Sense. The first feature is obvious: the home screen much accomplished than is being proposed as standard by Google.

The number of virtual desktops from three to Seven ... Better yet, not only (very) many gadgets have been added by HTC, but in addition it is possible to create multiple "profiles" of offices to customize Widgets according to current activities (employment status, personal life, using a means of transport, etc..). Among the many widgets programmed internally by the developers of the Taiwanese manufacturer, we note the presence of tools dedicated to social networks. Lovers of the genre will appreciate. On the other hand, improvements of HTC are far from limited to the home screen. For example, as you can see, the management of PIM has undergone the special welcome. For more details, please view our demo video!

Telephony, calendar and directory
People who have questions on telephony layer may be reassured. First, the HTC Hero offers excellent sound quality. Moving on to the software that manages the telephony layer. By default, HTC has added a virtual touch pad with large buttons that is ideal for users who have big fingers. The contact manager is in turn placed in the background. To search for an entry, simply activate the physical key "Search" button (decorated with a magnifying glass) that is located on the bottom of the unit.

Multimedia (audio and video)
Side connections, purists will appreciate the presence of a standard audio jack of 3.5 mm. This completes the mini USB port that allows keyed also connect a wired headset (standard common to most mobile phones manufactured by HTC). As we speak, not only the-ear headphones deliver excellent sound bill, but in addition it is equipped with a remote control and a miniature microphone. The only point of doubt: unless an error on our part is the responsible one, it seems impossible to change the tone curves, or choose a predefined profile in particular (like Rock, Pop, Jazz, etc..). Otherwise, all options that a user is entitled to expect are indeed present. Since it is an interface heavily inspired by Touch FLO 3D, it is possible to perform different types of classification (artist, album, etc..), Or to achieve a playlist manager. On the other hand, something rare enough to be reported: free OGG format is supported.

Diamond2 is the successor of HTC Touch Diamond and HTC makes many updates over it.

Main features:

- WVGA touchscreen display 3.2 "with 65 thousand colors

- TouchFLO 3D interface

- Processor Qualcomm MSM7200 528 MHz CPU and 288 MB RAM

- dedicated video card (64MB RAM)

- FM radio with RDS

- 5 MPX camera with autofocus

- 300MB internal memory expandable via a microSD card

- MS Office Mobile, Opera 9.5, customer Youtube

- miniUSB and Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP

HTC Touch Diamond2 has a much better resolution screen than its predecessor and a much higher RAM. The TouchFLO 3D interface has also been improved.

In terms of design it is much easier than the predecessor, no longer even diamond and there is no D-pad. The front screen is occupied by 3.2 "(which unfortunately suffers from one little chapter visibility in bright light), the secondary chamber and the 4 hardware buttons and the back, the camera has only 5MPx. At the top we find the power button and the miniUSB port on the bottom connector for headphones , charger and stylus compartment. On the right we find only the left speaker and volume keys.

Samsung Diamond2 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and TouchFLO 3D interface was much better than its predecessor. The interface is a modern, fluid and which responds very well, unfortunately you will hit problems in Windows Mobile. In terms of messages, Diamond2 has both a normal keypad and the QWERTY of course both virtual

Photo gallery is excellent, but it automatically opens a "landscape" and does not allow photos in portrait view, which is not necessarily a bad thing meaning that pictures made with it will always see you. They have excellent touchscreen interface that makes navigation and zoom each picture is easily done. Audio player is also very well done with all the options you have on a iPod for example. Unfortunately Diamond2 lacks the 3.5mm jack but compensates with excellent audio quality. Regarding the video, Samsung Diamond2, it comes with Windows Media player that is absolutely useless. Unfortunately you will have to find another player with additional codecs to enjoy the excellent quality of the screen and can see all kinds of video files.

5MPx camera to take pictures with a resolution of 2592 * 1944 and is equipped with autofocus. Unfortunately it does not have the flash, GPS or dedicated keys. But it has a very good quality pictures, colors are natural, perfect lighting, detail and well defined. Part video but lets desirable Diamond2 filming in VGA resolution at 15 fps.

In terms of connectivity, Diamond2 has it all: 4 band GSM, 3-band 3G HSDPA and HSUPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and A2DP, GPS The Google Maps installed and miniUSB.

Finally it seems that is an improvement Diamond2 HTC's much anticipated HTC Diamond which is excellent in almost every respect, which seems to have become somewhat standard for a Pocket PC from Samsung.

Motorola MOTOROKR Z6m

Maybe Motorola should not have to give up names or model RIZR ROKR favor. Unlike the first ROKR, Z6m supports Windows Media 11 and not iTunes. The phone has a display friendly, with a menu structure completely different from the rest of the Motorola phones. The operating system chosen is the new Motorola OS based on Linux. The terminal looks picture of the RIZR, but is rather a slider than a clamshell, so attractive.

Sony Ericsson K810
Series Cyber Shot camera phone needs a serious lesson from the Walkman series. To compare the K810 with the W880i Walkman series. K810 is massive and lacks the style of the W880i and Cyber-shot interface is not as friendly as Walkman. In other news Xenon flash and auto focus function are fine, but 3.2 mega pixels is too small a number compared to competing mobile facilities. But considering the lens included, we could forgive the lack of several million pixels for a clearer picture.

Nokia E61i
Nokia E61i is a natural evolution of the Nokia E61. Improved a little in each chapter: the keys are rubber, offering greater ease of typing and the terminal is thinner. The model could not be seen "in action" due to bad connections to the network offered in CTIA, so we keep a frenzy for any E62i.

Nokia E90

Nokia E90 is big, very big. The reality is even greater than in pictures and is basically a nice version of the LG Env. There is certainly a terminal that you can pocket, much less to throw in a briefcase or purse. E90, when a phone is closed is ridiculously high, a parody of the candy bar type phone. Open the terminal and you will see large keys (obviously) and a bright and clear screen. It was still a top 10 finish and we can only wonder when we see these beautiful (or less wonderful) terminals on our market already full of models of Sony Ericsson Walkman.

LG VX9400

LG VX9400 - A phone surprisingly easy and slim, without VX9400 mobile TV in your pockets. V Cast Mobile TV phone supporting streaming quality at higher resolutions, making a big step forward in mobile TV. The model has a 1.3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth, memory extensions and supports EV-DO.

iPhone
iPhone - from Apple mystery phone-fill the top 3 in February, but will have to wait 6 months until the arrival of the phone.

Equipped with 8GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, support for Google Maps and touch-screen iPhone will be available for $ 599 or 499 if you opt for the 4GB version.

HTC Advantage

Here HTC Advantage X7591, a terminal design at least interesting, even if many of you may be asking "by who was this phone manufactured?" X7591 supports 3G services and includes a locking system based on magnets. Running on Windows Mobile 6 the phone has advanced multimedia features and editing Office of the latter type, all visible on the display and touch screen 5 inch.

Samsung F700

It is strange that I did not find a functional model of F700 in the CTIA 2007 ... Samsung Ultra Smart phone that had a version that goes to their stand, seemed to forget just recently hit and missing their chance to attract visitors. Issue is not necessarily the fact that the phone is not available, what bothers us is that it does not work. This is the iPhone rival that you expect?

Motorola MOTORIZR Z8
The difference between the angle of slide angle's RIZR Z8 and other phones is enormous, but that attention through the artifice of design can be a decisive factor for the popularity of Z8. It has a very "organic" look made by the combination of colors that a display and we are dealing with a high-end, the model includes a QVGA display and HSDPA 3.6 Mbps. Z8 supports micro SDHC cards and is the first step on the sliders in the U.S. market for Motorola.

LG VX8700
LG VX8700 is a new direction in design chapter, but the misery is the only aesthetic or strength. Metal casing is a good choice in combination with reflections of light it produces, or protection against fingerprints. We would still like Verizon Wireless to be more innovative in Chapter structure of the menu. LG VX8700 includes a lot of themes for the phone screen, clear and a reasonable price metal terminal could be a trendsetter even on our market.

Motorola Q q9

Motorola Q Q9 model resembles very much the Q model, so much that you might confuse them very easy, whether you're an expert or a beginner. However the new model is more rounded, making it easier to hold in hand than the "cousin" or. We say that the Q9's keyboard experience was satisfactory and that we look forward to see him it in USA and in Europe too .

Samsung UpStage
Samsung UpStage from Sprint is undoubtedly a thin phone with a design that will intrigue. But we wonder if it will become tiring this flip-phone use because of design or. By incorporating a music player, which already is packed, used on Sprint phones, terminal could even use a new interface to compete in crowded wireless market with music functions.

However UpStage has a chance with downloads of songs that offers the Sprint Store at a price of 0.99 U.S. dollars.
