In this article we’ll do something out of the ordinary. We’ll observe the way in which mobile phones and wireless technology are taking over our lives in all the fields of activity possible. Because of their great importance to modern society, cell phones are described and talked about in various situations. As the title mentions, authors who write for the educational system have integrated an English lesson into the curriculum.

The lesson is specially designed to help students express themselves and to give them the chance to practice speaking. Another advantage of this lesson is the fact that after learning the lesson, the student will have a better understanding of the terms “mobile communication” and “mobile phone”. First of all, the student will be asked to talk, using their own words, about the use of mobile phones in generally, having the opportunity to describe the way in which they use their mobile phones.

Another part of the lesson will give the students the chance to create and perform telephone conversations, decipher text messages and write their own. The lesson also contains a worksheet that will allow students to give their opinion on mobile phone related topics and compare the answers to the other students. An interesting exercise within this lesson is the one where students have a number of sentences in the form of cutouts. These cutouts put together build a phone conversation, but due to the fact that they’re not in the correct order, it will be the students task to arrange them so the conversation will be correct.

cell phone lesson plans for teachers (source: media.nj.com)

A situation where imagination is put to the test is the exercise where student have to imagine conversations on certain topics like canceling a reservation, calling to say they’re going to be late due to a train strike or phoning a friend who’s late. Texting exercises are also an important part of the lesson as in many cases they contain all sorts of encoded messages that are sometimes hard to understand. For instance, the word “great” is written “GR8”, the expression “keep in touch” is “KIT” and “bye bye for now” is “BBFN”. “C U l8r” actually means “See you later”, but if you don’t know these codes, some messages, especially those received from teenagers could be unreadable.

So, even if you are not a teacher, the English lesson about cell phones could be of a great use to you, as you not only learn the basic stuff, but also some things that might be from another planet at first sight.

Many people find themselves in the situation where they possess a perfectly working mobile phone which they don’t use anymore because they bought a new phone or they’re planning to buy a new phone. The problem emerges in situations where the mobile phone is locked to a certain carrier, this making the phone much harder to sell. Due to the fact that there are many mobile phone operators around the world, chances are that the person that will want to purchase you’re phone will desire another operator, so you might loose many potential customers this way.

If you own a BlackBerry, it’s not very difficult and not expensive to unlock the mobile phone. A great advantage is that you can do it yourself and it can be done in 15 minutes, so you won’t have to wait a long time to get the job done. The best website for unlocking a BlackBerry phone is www.bbunlock.com, a website specially designed for BlackBerry phones. First thing you need to know is that newer models have two types of locks, MEP2 and MEP4. The good part is that the website will tell you exactly what type of locking mechanism the phone has, the only difference between the two being that for newer models you have to enter two codes.

How To Unlock Your Blackberry Phone So You Can Sell It?

So what you need to do is access obtain the phones IMEI code, as this is the key to unlocking any phone. The unlock algorithm is based in 90% of situations on this code so it’s very important to know how to obtain it. In most cases, you have to type *#06# and the code will appear on the screen. Make sure to write down the code as you will need to enter it precisely on the unlock website. After making sure you have the correct IMEI code, access the fore-mentioned website and choose your phone model. Enter the IMEI code and all the other required information and you will soon receive an email with the unlock code, or unlock codes, depending on the phone’s model.

How To Unlock Your Blackberry Phone So You Can Sell It?

In most cases the next step is to access the Settings menu, then go to Advanced, then SIM Card, and just type in the screen the word “MEP2”. Enter the MEP2 code provided and then, under the same menu type “MEP4”, also entering the obtained code.

And there you have it. You now have an unlocked BlackBerry ready to change owners and possibly mobile carriers.

The BlackBerry phones and the phones from the iPhone series are both smartphones, but they’re from different classes, as BlackBerry is designed mainly for business and iPhone is preferred for entertainment. In this article we’ll take a look at two phones which can’t really be compared, but a comparison is needed so you’ll know which way to look if you’re looking to buy a smartphone.

The BlackBerry Bold series has about six models, but they’re all about the same with small differences. Some of them have a QWERTY keyboard and a capacitive touchscreen, but most of them only have the full QWERTY keyboard. Actually, this type of keyboard is the component that made BlackBerry phones famous and so popular when it comes to phones designed for business.

Blackberry Bold Vs. Iphone 4

The BlackBerry phones have a Blackberry OS operating system so the compatibility is fairly limited, but the compatibility level isn’t much higher at iPhones either, so this criteria doesn’t differeciate them so much. The fact that makes a difference is that there are more apps for the iPhone than for the BlackBerry. When it comes to performance, BlackBerry Bold has a 600 megahertz processor and 256 megabytes of RAM memory so the speed of the phone is fairly decent. The camera has 3.15 megapixels so we can conclude that the phone takes decent pictures thanks to the auto-focus feature helped by the LED flash.

Blackberry Bold Vs. Iphone 4

IPhone 4 on the other hand doesn’t have a QWERTY keyboard, and the whole design is slightly different, the iPhone being considered one of the most stylish phones on the market. The iPhone 4 has a much better performance as it comes with a 1 gigahertz processor, and 512 megabytes of RAM memory. The storage space cannot be upgraded using a memory card, but the internal memory is more than sufficient, the better version having 32 gigabytes of storage capacity. The camera is also better, the 5 megapixel camera, combined with the large number of camera apps, making it one of the best phone cameras on the market.

The bottom line is that if you want a phone that you will mainly use for business, you should choose the BlackBerry, as the long tradition and the design makes it one of the best business phones around. On the other hand, the iPhone 4 is one of the most desired phones when it comes to being cool and self entertainment.

This might just be the toughest battle of the year, as it is very difficult to determine precisely who is going to win this battle. In this article we are going to give it a try and summarize in a few hundred words the advantages and the flaws of each, trying to aid you in your decision. In this article we are going to presume that you are contract free and you can buy a mobile phone unlocked or from any carrier you desire.

First is the famous iPhone with its iOS operating system. iOS is said to be the most reliable of them all, probably due to the fact that they have been in business for a longer time than others. The iOS operating system is very attractive and easy to use, even by the more inexperienced users and that’s why it’s preferred in many cases. The design and functionality of the iOS combined with the design and functionality of the phone itself result in one of the best mobile gadgets in the world.

Android Vs Iphone Vs Blackberry

There are however some downsides to this phone and probably the biggest downside is the fact that it doesn’t have a Flash support for its internet browser, Saffari. Another downside is related to the fact that the reception and the network coverage are not that great, in some cases being hardware and in some cases being a software issue.

Different from the iOS, Android smartphones are completely customizable as the operating system is open source so everyone has access to its core.

Android Vs Iphone Vs Blackberry

Each manufacturer has it’s own version of the Android operating system, in some cases this being a good thing and in other cases, not such a good thing, as each manufacturer must fix their own bugs. Another downside to the operating system is the fact that compared to the iPhone the number of apps you can choose from is much lower. The Android Market is in continuous development, but currently the apps available for the iPhone outrun those designed for Android phones.

Blackberry operating systems are pretty reliable thanks to their long history in the mobile phone market, but they appeal only to a certain category of people, being proffered by those who use their mobile devices for business purposes mainly. The number of apps is also much smaller than the ones for the iPhone but you can find some pretty decent ones if you search enough. Also a downside to this operating system is the fact that the apps created for the Blackberry are not very compatible with other operating systems.
