In case you are living in the United States of America you have definitely heard about the AT & T company. It is the largest provider of fixed telephony from this country and also the second largest provider of mobile telephony from the entire United States of America. It has around 90 million customers for mobile telephony and its total number of clients is around 210 million. The headquarters of the company is located in Dallas, but of course it has many more other subsidiaries across the entire country.

AT & T was founded in 1983 and in 2009 it had a revenue of 123.018 billion dollars, being the 7^th largest company by total revenue from the United States of America. Also in 2009 it had around 294,600 employees and made a net income of 12.535 billion dollars.

So it is a huge company, with huge revenues, a huge number of clients and with all sorts of telecommunication services offered. The company itself doesn’t produce mobile phones but it sells many models made by other companies. So for today we’ll discuss more about a model of cell phone, and we’ll choose a simple phone – the Nokia 6350. most of the people today are interested in smartphones, with all sorts of cool features and technologies, but there are still some that just want a simple phone for just talking and sending messages. So this model can be a good choice, and of course it will offer you a little bit more than just talking and sending messages.



The price for this model with no commitment is 180 dollars, and the price with a contract of 2 years at AT & T is 80 dollars. But if you get it online from the site of the company you will get a discount of 80 dollars, so the phone is practically free. Even the shipping is free, but of course you will have to pay the monthly subscription 2 years from now. This phone has an acceptable camera of 2 megapixels with a zoom of 4 x and a music player too. For messaging you can use the classic SMS or MMS, and also instant messaging IM. It even has a video share features so that you can share live streaming video with friends and family. Regarding the wireless technology it has GSM / GPRS – 850 / 1900 / 2100 MHz, 3G – 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz, EDGE high speed data network and also Bluetooth 2.1 technology. So this means that you can easily browse the internet and send emails, and also connect your phone to a Bluetooth enabled device (such as stereo speakers or headphones) and enjoy music without any wires.

The previous model was a really complex smartphone, but this one is just a simple mobile phone with basic features. It is a consumer friendly solution, which is also much cheaper. In this case they are both free, but of course they both come with AT & T subscriptions, and probably the one from the BlackBerry phone is much more expensive. The Nokia 2720 is made for those who want to have just the basic features, and just a few extras. It has a phone book with up to 500 entries, a picture called ID feature, integrated speakerphone and also Bluetooth connectivity. You can also browse the internet with this phone, but its connectivity is not as complex as the one on the BlackBerry. It has a smaller display screen of 1.8 inch, with a resolution of 128 x 160 and 65000 colors. This one has a camera too, one of 1.3 megapixels with 4 x digital zoom, Automatic white balance, Scene modes and more.

Of course you can also send text messages (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS)  and it can store up to 250 text messages. And you can even send audio files thanks to the Nokia Xpress audio messaging. You can also listen to your favorite FM radio stations and also play music and videos with its player that that supports popular digital audio and video formats.

It also comes with a few installed applications, and it allows you to install some more. It measures 3.66 " (H) x 1.81 " (W) x 0.78 " (D) and weighs 3.18 oz. it is powered by the Nokia BL - 4CT 860 mAh battery which offers you 3 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours of standby time. Enjoy it!

This is probably a much more expensive phone, but now you can get it for just 50 dollars along with an AT & T subscription. This is a smartphone, so it runs with an operating system – in this case the Android 1.6 OS. It is equipped with a really good processor of 1 Ghz (the Snapdragon 8250 processor for multi-tasking), and you can do so many activities with this complex phone.

For example you can browse the internet, and also keep in touch with all your friends from Facebook, Tweeter or MySpace thanks to the Timescape application. With this app you will also be able to send text messages and mails. You also have access to other sites such as Youtube, and you can add music, games and other applications using the AT & T Mobile Music, PlayNow, Android Market and MEdia Mall. The phone is able to play music and videos with the Mediascape application, and thanks to the Bluetooth technology you can connect it to some Bluetooth speakers or to a Bluetooth headset, and enjoy all your favorite music without any wires.

With the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 AT & T Phone you can take some amazing pictures, thanks to the really good camera that it has of 8.1 megapixel. IDENTIFICATION EQUIPMENT AND SUBSCRIBERS (GSM)
SIM  - GSM phones use a microchip called Subscriber Identity Module (SIM). SIM is used to store configuration data on the phone, etc. on existing subscription. Each card is activated by a unique identification number, once activated, the identification number is registered and is related to the network card that has been activated.

As you may know, there are mobile networks that allow you to use a cell phone without a SIM card. Phones that do not use the card have data loaded into them.

IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a number composed of 15 digits that identify the GSM standard used equipment, phone. You can see it on the phone's battery. This identification number is entered into the phone by the manufacturer, and when the phone tries to access a network, the IMEI is compared with data from a database, thereby being possible to determine whether or not the phone is stolen.

IMSI  (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) is composed of a 15-digit number that is stored on the card and the user is assigned by the telephone operators. This code allows the operator to identify the number of telephone subscriber. Also, IMSI contains a code identifying the country in which the subscriber agreement.

TMSI (Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity) is a number assigned by the network and is shorter than the IMSI. TMSI is used to hide the true identity of the user against those who would try to decode the transmitted signal containing IMSI code of the phone. By submitting regular and frequent TMSI, IMSI may be sent less frequently.

SID  (System Identification Code) is a unique 5-digit code assigned to each mobile operator. The mobile phone  switched operations are being conducted to identify the network on a control channel between the phone and base station. If the SID received a call from the network within range of which is found does not match that of the phone when the phone shows no signal.

If the two SID's match, the phone is integrated into the network and can make calls. In the process of identification, mobile phone sends a request for registration in the network, thereby switching center which has a responsibility to communicate with the base station, the phone knows exactly the position of the equipment by the application. The same switching center establishes an emission rate phone if it performs a call.

How phone jamming works ?  -Mobile phones have low emissivity. Many of them are able to deliver signals to 0.6 watts and 3 watts. Because the power is small, useful signal does not reaches too far outside the cell’s operating at one time to the phone. This is the secret that allows operation of the system of mobile cells.
